On the evening of November 11th, AIS members attended the Operation Smile Ball at the Howard Gittis Student Center. The social event raised money for Operation Smile, an international medical charity which provides free surgeries for children and young adults in developing countries who are born with cleft lip, cleft palate or other facial deformities. The event included a three-course meal, a photo booth and performances by Temple dance teams and musicians. Over 50 AIS members attended the Operation Smile Ball, which proved to be a night full of fun and fundraising for a great cause! Matt Oberst, a junior who attended the event, reflected, “Op Smile is such a great event because you get to dress up nice with your friends, watch some interesting performances, and dance the night away while raising money for a great cause”.
