Mission Statement
“The Association for Information Systems (AIS) serves society through the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of excellence in the practice and study of information systems. AIS is the premier professional association for individuals and organizations who lead the research, teaching, practice, and study of information systems worldwide.”

Temple University Chapter
As the founding student chapter, Temple AIS upholds an engaging and well-developed focal point for students studying Management Information Systems, or students interested in the practice of MIS, through professional development, social events, and community activities. With the cooperation of welcoming faculty and staff within the highly ranked MIS department, AIS offers a plethora of benefits to its members, some of which include:

Speaker Series A diverse and prominent amalgamation of professionals (including executives), campus recruiters, and Temple alumni provide unique and informative insight into the inner-workings of their respective companies. Previous speakers have hailed from companies such as PwC, Walmart, Deloitte, JPMorgan Chase, Urban Outfitters, EY, AmerisourceBergen, and many other prominent firms.
Networking Opportunities Students can expand their network through various social events that bring together members, faculty, and MIS graduates through various activities and venues that tie together engaging activities with professional development.
Technical Workshops In conjunction with MIS professors, our TDAP series provides a series of workshops created specifically by AIS officers to enhance students’ understanding of technical concepts. Both analytical and challenging, these workshops foster the development of well-rounded professionals through teaching important technical skills.
